The use of thin veneer (1" +/- thick) has grown dramatically over the last few years as a cost effective alternative to full depth veneer. The majority of thin veneer being used today is artificial "fake" stone. The man-made stone is being used primarily because natural thin stone has not been readily available and is often cost prohibitive.
In 2005 U.S. Stone Industries introduced its "Natural Thin Stone" veneer line with 40 different stone offerings. Specialized manufacturing equipment allows us to produce up to 8000 sq. ft. per day at a cost that allows it to be priced competitively with artificial "fake" stone. Packaged in both a convenient small box of 8 sq. ft. or a
crate of 135 sq. ft. for larger projects. The line is broad enough to offer a full range of size, color and texture.
